KWT spruced up

A number of stakeholders got together for the Clean-up Campaign that took place on Wednesday 9 September in King William’s Town.

In the past months the Metro’s Environmental Health Department has been receiving complaints from business people and members of the public pertaining to unhygienic standard in the King William’s Town Ranks and Hawking areas.

According to Zongamele Msiwa the Metros’ Environmental Health Educator, the City decided to work together as BCMM departments in the Inland Region and other stakeholders and come up with this campaign to uplift the standard of health and hygiene.

During the Clean-up, residents were also educated on health, hygiene and waste management.
